The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has dismissed the plea of resident doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi seeking of scrapping the online test conducted by AIIMS for admission to super speciality courses of different medical colleges.
The tribunal refused to order fresh examination saying that the integrity of the Controller of Examinations and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which conducted the examinations, cannot be doubted. The tribunal also said that AIIMS has already inquired into the matter and decided to conduct re-examination in few courses.
The petitioners, AIIMS Resident Doctors Association and two doctors, had alleged malpractices and use of unfair means in the examination for admission to super speciality courses in DM/MCh, held on May 15, 2011 at Manav Rachna University at Faridabad and had sought a fresh examination for all courses.
