New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi is planning to launch three full-time postgraduate medical programmes — PG Diploma in Anaesthesia, PG Diploma in Radio-Diagnosis and PG Diploma in Critical Care Medicine — of two year duration each for those with MBBS degree.
According to IGNOU, the School of Health Sciences (SOHS) will be launching a medical cell wherein a series of postgraduate medical programmes having national and social relevance shall be launched. “These programmes aim of solving the need of trained doctors in the above specialties,” IGNOU has said.
According to UNESCO, IGNOU is the world’s largest open university, with its student base extending to three million.
